With IPG,  battery manufacturing solution can be tailored to your specific requirements, from development to installation and support.

1. Cell Loading & Testing

Incoming cells are singulated and tested across the conveyor. Good cells are inserted into module frames and bad cells are rejected. Assembled modules continue to the cell-to-busbar welding station.

2. Cell-to-Busbar Welding

Optimized fiber lasers rapidly weld cells to busbars on incoming modules. Unmatched laser parameter options ensure the highest welding speeds available with virtually no weld spatter.

3. Digital Weld Testing

Accurate and non-destructive bed-of-nails measurements of each cell-to-busbar weld are taken to test electrical resistance. 100% of test data is logged for traceability as tested modules move on to final assembly.

4. Module Assembly Station

Case components are assembled and robotic wobble welding ensures hermetic seals. Sealed battery packs are fully tested and removed from frames. Completed packs are stored for further processing.
